The Beacon System

From Sample to Report

The Alminix Beacon System brings molecular testing, wireless data transfer, and intelligent reporting together in one connected system.

Designed for aquatic facilities, the Beacon System allows your team to perform qPCR testing on-site, automatically transfer results to the Alminix Portal, and build a continuous record of pathogen testing across your operation.

One System

One System. Three Connected Technologies.

The Beacon System combines the hardware and software needed to take a sample from testing to actionable data.

Beacon

Beacon

The qPCR Analyzer

Beacon is the core testing instrument of the system. It performs qPCR analysis on prepared samples to detect specific genetic targets associated with aquatic pathogens.

Revere

Revere

The Receiver

Revere connects Beacon to the Alminix Portal using Bluetooth technology, allowing test data to move from the analyzer into your digital testing environment.

Alminix Portal

Alminix Portal

The Platform

The Portal is where your testing data comes together. Results accumulate over time, allowing you to analyze testing history, monitor trends, and generate reports from one centralized platform.

How It Works

From Water Sample to Actionable Information

The Beacon System connects the physical process of testing with the digital process of understanding your results.

Step 01

Collect

Collect a water sample from the designated testing point within your system, tank, quarantine area, or facility.

Step 02

Prepare

Prepare the sample according to standard testing procedures and combine it with the appropriate reagent.

Step 03

Test With Beacon

Load the prepared sample into the Beacon qPCR Analyzer. Beacon performs the qPCR process and analyzes the sample for the selected pathogen target.

Step 04

Connect With Revere

Once testing is complete, Revere wirelessly connects Beacon to the Alminix Portal and transfers the available test data.

Step 05

Analyze in the Portal

Results are accumulated in the Portal, where they can be reviewed alongside previous testing data.

Step 06

Monitor and Report

Use the Portal to monitor trends, analyze testing history, and generate reports for your facility and relevant stakeholders.

The Product

The Beacon

Beacon is the testing engine of the Beacon System. Using quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR), Beacon analyzes prepared samples for specific genetic targets associated with the pathogens included in the applicable testing assays.

The Beacon

Molecular Testing

qPCR uses molecular analysis to detect specific genetic targets rather than relying solely on visual or observational indicators.

Quantitative Data

qPCR can provide quantitative measurements that can be tracked across repeated tests, helping reveal changes over time.

On-Site Testing

Bring routine molecular testing closer to the systems you're managing instead of relying exclusively on external laboratory testing.

Connected by Design

Beacon is built to work as part of the Beacon System, connecting testing data to Revere and the Alminix Portal.

Included

Reagents

The Beacon System uses molecular reagents designed to target specific genetic markers associated with defined aquatic pathogens.

Each assay is developed around a particular molecular target, allowing testing to be tailored to the pathogens relevant to the application.

Get reagents at a lower price point, as compared to market price, with the Beacon system.

Revere
Built In

Revere

Revere is the Bluetooth receiver that connects the Beacon qPCR Analyzer to the Alminix Portal. Its role is to move your test data from the analyzer into the connected Alminix software platform.

The Platform

Alminix Portal

Where Your Testing Data Comes Together

The Portal is the software layer of the Beacon System.

Every connected test contributes to a growing record of your facility's testing activity, giving you more than an individual result to look at.

Results

Review test results generated through the Beacon System.

Testing History

Accumulate testing data over time to create a centralized record of your facility's testing activity.

Trend Monitoring

Analyze changes in pathogen measurements across repeated tests and time periods.

Data Analysis

Examine accumulated testing information to identify patterns and changes within your testing history.

Reporting

Turn your testing data into reports that can be shared with management, veterinary teams, biosecurity personnel, or other relevant stakeholders.

Centralized Access

Keep your data organized within one connected platform rather than scattered across individual records or external laboratory reports.

Why Bring Testing On-Site?

More Than an Analyzer

Test On-Site

Perform routine qPCR testing where your aquatic systems are being managed.

Connect Automatically

Move test data from Beacon into the Alminix Portal through Revere.

Build Your Testing History

Accumulate results over time rather than treating every test as an isolated event.

Monitor Trends

Use historical data to see how measurements change across testing periods.

Generate Reports

Turn accumulated testing data into clear, shareable reports.

A Smarter Way to Test

A Smarter Way to Test
